Professionally trained guitarist from Leeds College of Music with over 10 years of performance and industry experience. Lessons cater for all styles of guitarist, from Pop, Rock, Classical and Folk. This broad range of styles along with clear communication allows students to tackle many different aspects playing, keeping lessons fun and versatile.
Lessons can be taught through Rock School and RGT for both acoustic and electric guitar. But grades are not mandatory! If you are just looking to master your hobby and have fun lessons can be catered for that.
Beginners are welcome!
Build your knowledge and learn to play the guitar from your first lesson. Within 5 weeks you will know basic chords and how to change effectively between them. Know scales and how to use them to build your own solos plus much more. Lessons also offer working through grades, pieces of music, performance or relaxed lessons. Both electric and acoustic lessons available. Already Know how to play but want to improve? Your skills can be assessed and start to work towards a clear goal improving all aspects of musicianship. The studio has amps, pedals and guitars so all you need is yourself!
Learn how to be the back bone of the band! From funk to pop to rock. Working through classic bass riff to creating your own. Bass is a fantastic instrument and often in demand. Rock school has a great practical syllabus, building your scale knowledge and music theory to make your bass lines stand out! You will learn performance techniques, amp set up as well as how to use pedals effectively. All equipment is provided.
Great for small hands just beginning their musical journey or for the George Thornby finally coming around to learning an instrument. Ukulele is really easy to play but sounds incredible when taken seriously. Beginning with chords and strumming to building scales, percussive playing and understanding how music works. Ukuleles are cheap to buy and can last a long way, perfect for starting musical development.
